Gibraltar Immigration Information Entry Visa

Passport is required by all nationals except EU nationals in possession of a valid national identity card.

Visa is not required by nationals of Australia, Canada, the EU, UK and USA, without seeking employment, for the following durations:

• nationals of the UK and the EU for stays of up to six months;
• nationals of Australia, Canada and the USA for stays of up to three months.

Other nationals are advised to contact the London Passport Office or Gibraltar Government Office to check visa requirements. Nationals who hold a Schengen visa and intend to enter Gibraltar from Spain should also take steps to assure that they will be able to return to Spain again once they have left Gibraltar.

As a general rule, those who require a visa for entry to the UK also require a separate visa for entry to Gibraltar.

To obtain a visa you must fill out an application and show your passport, proof of hotel reservation and return ticket.

Note: A visa to enter the UK does not necessarily qualify you to enter Gibraltar.

Types and Costs of Visa

Types of visa include tourist, business and transit visas. Tourist and business visas typically cost GIP28 and take 20 working days to expedite.
